What began as a humble storage garage for a large motor supply company, holds a story all its own. In the early days of the garage's existence, the yard was abused as a quick shortcut between 4th and 6th Street by renegade drivers, just as an example.

About 20 years ago, a talented craftsman from Boulder, Colorado, saw potential in the dilapidated property. He took on the challenge of completely restoring the yard and building, transforming it into a beautiful, creative workshop where he could bring his own ideas to life.

In 2017, Monica Albert—who is the founder and director of the Grove Street Farmers Market—brought a new chapter to the building’s story. She rented half of the space and opened a unique hair salon, MO’s Garage Salon Experience.

Then, in 2025, Garden Events came to fruition when Monica had the good fortune to acquire the entire property. Over the past year, she and her team have poured their time, creativity, and hard work into transforming the space from top to bottom.

Today, this once-overlooked garage has been reimagined as the vibrant, welcoming space you see before you—a place shaped by its history, its people, and a whole lot of imagination.
